Gemini for Google Sheets Achieves SOTA Performance

Google announced a new beta feature for Gemini in Sheets. Users can generate, organize, and edit entire sheets simply by describing what they want, from simple tasks to complex data analysis.

Gemini in Sheets achieved SOTA (State-of-the-art) performance with a 70.48% success rate on the SpreadsheetBench dataset, which evaluates the ability to autonomously manipulate complex real-world spreadsheets.

This not only surpasses competing models but also approaches the level of human experts. This update is part of broader Gemini feature enhancements across Google Workspace, including Google Sheets as well as Drive, Docs, and Slides.
