Argentina Pushes to Legalize AI-Managed Corporations

Argentina's Javier Milei has submitted a new legal framework to Congress that would allow the establishment of non-human corporations managed by AI agents or robots, aiming to boost economic productivity.

This proposal is based on three key pillars:

• Deregulation of technology: Exempting technology from state control and fully easing regulations to promote industrial development
• Establishment of non-human corporations: Allowing the establishment of corporations operated by AI agents or robots, where human involvement is not essential
• Low corporate tax: Applying a low tax rate policy to reduce the burden of corporate operations

The plan is currently sparking fierce debate over the issue of legal liability. Critics are concerned that in the case of corporations with no owner, it may become impossible to claim damages or resolve legal disputes when harm occurs.
