Deezer Reveals 44% of Daily Uploaded Tracks Are AI-Generated

Deezer tallied that 44% of new music uploaded per day is AI-generated tracks. This corresponds to about 75,000 tracks per day, or over 2 million tracks per month.

Within the platform, the share of AI-generated music consumption was only 1-3% of total streams, and of that, 85% was detected as fraudulent streams and excluded from royalty payments.

AI music uploads have grown rapidly.

• January 2025: about 10,000 tracks per day
• September 2025: about 30,000 tracks per day
• November 2025: about 50,000 tracks per day
• January 2026: about 60,000 tracks per day

Deezer began tagging AI tracks starting June 2025, and stated that it has performed AI track tagging on more than 13.4 million tracks on the platform this year. Tagged AI songs are excluded from recommendation algorithms and editorial playlists, and high-resolution version storage is also discontinued for them.

Recently, AI-generated tracks hit No. 1 on the iTunes charts in the US, UK, France, Canada, and New Zealand. At the same time, Deezer emphasized that protecting artist rights and clear labeling are needed across the music ecosystem as a whole.
