At What's Next with AWS 2026, AWS rolled out a wave of AI agent-focused product expansions all at once. Amazon Quick added a desktop app (Preview) and Free/Plus plans, and now lets users sign up directly with a personal email or Google, Apple, GitHub, or Amazon accounts. It connects to local files, calendars, and messages without a browser, generates documents, presentations, infographics, and images within chat, and integrates with Google Workspace, Zoom, Airtable, Dropbox, and Microsoft Teams.

Amazon Connect redefined the existing Amazon Connect as Customer, and expanded into four agentic AI solutions by adding Decisions for supply chain, Talent (Preview) for hiring, and Health for healthcare. Talent offers AI-driven interviews and science-based assessments, Customer lets users configure conversational AI in weeks without technical knowledge, and Health supports patient verification, appointment management, patient insights, automated documentation, and medical coding.

AWS and OpenAI are bringing the latest OpenAI models to Amazon Bedrock, unveiling Codex on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents, powered by OpenAI in limited preview. Codex authenticates with AWS credentials and processes inference on Bedrock infrastructure, and can be started from Codex CLI, the desktop app, or the Visual Studio Code extension. GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.4 are available for Bedrock preview, working with existing Bedrock APIs as-is while maintaining integrated security, governance, and cost controls.
