HP Inc. Signs Strategic 'Frontier' Partnership with OpenAI

HP Inc. announced that it is expanding its OpenAI Frontier strategic partnership, building on the success of pilot tests conducted across various fields. The partnership aims to improve customer experience and enhance operational efficiency, with a focus on deploying AI across the entire organization.

HP has already been testing OpenAI Frontier since February 2026 and has achieved visible results. One engineer processed 122 Pull Requests across 43 projects in just a few weeks using OpenAI models, and the security team completed work that would have taken a month in just a single day, dramatically increasing the pace of work.

HP plans to use Frontier not merely as a tool but as a Connective Layer that integrates the management of agents and AI workflows. Through this, the company will pursue innovation in the following areas.

• Customer and Partner Support: Building a self-service layer for over 100,000 partners to speed up information access and problem resolution
• Workforce Experience Platform (WXP): Leveraging device telemetry data to enable AI to autonomously analyze and resolve system errors and Wi-Fi issues, among others
• Cybersecurity: Automating early detection and analysis of security vulnerabilities to free up about 82 hours per week of the security team's work capacity
• Knowledge Work Support: Supporting research, analysis, and ideation using ChatGPT and Codex
