Claude Adds Links to Limits Documentation

Links to usage limits and length limits guidance documents have been added to the Claude usage panel.

• Usage limits refer to conversation and Claude Code usage over a given period, and usage across claude.ai / Claude Code / Claude Desktop is combined into a single limit.
• Limits differ by plan, applying differently across Pro, Max, Team, seat-based Enterprise, etc., with some Enterprise plans following usage-based billing.
• Length limits refer to the context window that can be handled in a single conversation; most models and paid plans support 200K tokens, while some Enterprise models support 500K.
• When code execution is on, Claude automatically summarizes earlier parts of long conversations to continue, while the full chat history is preserved.
• Even with automatic context management, edge cases such as a very large first message can still hit the context limit.
• To conserve usage and context, it's recommended to use projects, keep project instructions short, clean up unnecessary files, and turn off extended thinking, web search, Research, and MCP connectors.
• When a usage limit is reached, you need to wait for a reset or upgrade your plan or purchase additional usage, and when a length limit is reached, you need to switch to a new conversation or use projects.
