π0 Robot Model Released on LeRobot

The π0 (Pi-Zero) and π0-FAST models developed by Physical Intelligence have been introduced into the Hugging Face LeRobot ecosystem. These models are Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that enable general-purpose control across various robot platforms.

π0 utilizes flow matching technology to generate smooth, real-time motion trajectories at 50Hz. It features a denoising approach similar to existing diffusion models, while improving efficiency and precision.

Key features and achievements:

• Trained on data from 7 robot platforms and 68 unique tasks.
• Demonstrated strong zero-shot and fine-tuning performance on complex real-world tasks such as folding laundry, clearing tables, bagging groceries, and assembling boxes.
• Supports cross-embodiment learning spanning diverse robot forms (single-arm, dual-arm, mobile manipulators, etc.).

Users can utilize the PyTorch version of the π0 model through the LeRobot repository, and fine-tune it to fit their own environments.
