Google testing screen sharing and custom agents in Antigravity

Google is testing an expansion of Antigravity in recent builds. In this agent-first IDE, launched with Gemini 3 in November 2025, two experimental features handling external screens and custom workflows have been spotted.

• Screen Recording is an option toggled inside the Agent Mode prompt composer, letting developers stream their screen to the agent. It's especially useful for work running outside the IDE, like emulators or external runtimes, and for live demos where you show a bug or behavior directly.
• Custom Agents and Plugins sits behind a flag in settings. By placing Agent Scripts in an Agents directory and plugins in a plugins folder inside the Gemini settings directory, teams can define multiple agent personalities or workflows and invoke them as needed. This offers finer customization than the existing Rules and Workflows, and appears to be an effort to address limitations raised by developers coming over from VS Code and Copilot.

This approach resembles how Gemini's real-time models receive screen sharing in Google's AI Studio, and supplements the browser recordings and screenshots that agents used to generate with input supplied directly by the developer. The plugin format borrows heavily from Claude Code's standard, and could simultaneously fill in the weak customization and external screen visibility of Antigravity, which is positioned as a control room for parallel agents. No public timeline has been given, but with the feature behind a flag, this looks closer to a rollout stage than an early prototype.
