Anthropic Open-Sources AI Agents/Skills/Connectors Specialized for Financial Services

Anthropic has released an open-source reference repository for automating financial services workflows. It's designed so the same agents can be run as a Claude Cowork plugin or via the Managed Agents API.

At its core are 10 workflow agents ready to use for specific financial tasks.

• Pitch Agent: Generates branded pitch decks based on Comps, precedent transactions, and LBO
• Meeting Prep Agent: Automatically drafts briefing packs ahead of client meetings
• Market Researcher: Produces sector/theme analysis, competitive landscape, peer comparisons, and idea shortlists
• Earnings Reviewer: Drafts model updates and notes reflecting earnings calls and disclosures
• Model Builder: Works live in Excel on DCF, LBO, 3-statement, and Comps models
• Valuation Reviewer: Collects GP packages and runs valuation templates
• GL Reconciler: Finds discrepancies and routes them for root-cause tracing and approval
• Month-End Closer: Handles accrual processing, roll-forwards, and variance analysis commentary
• Statement Auditor: Audits LP financial statements before distribution
• KYC Screener: Parses onboarding documents, runs rule engines, and flags missing items

Data integration is built around centrally managed MCP connectors for 11 financial data providers, including Daloopa, Morningstar, S&P Global, FactSet, Moody's, LSEG, PitchBook, and Chronograph.

In addition, slash commands such as /comps, /dcf, /lbo, /earnings, and /ic-memo let users instantly run comparable company analysis, valuation, IC memo drafting, and more. Separately, 7 vertical plugins and partner plugins for LSEG and S&P Global are also provided.

Each agent has a structure that self-bundles the skills it needs, so installing just one agent brings along its related capabilities. All outputs are limited to drafts for human review and approval, and the agents do not make investment recommendations, execute trades, or record ledger entries.

Additionally, a Microsoft 365 add-in provisioning tool is included, enabling Claude to run within Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook via Vertex AI, Bedrock, or internal LLM gateways. Per-company customization is also supported, such as swapping .mcp.json connectors, adding in-house terminology and processes to skill files, and learning PPT templates.

The entire package is structured as Markdown + JSON files, requires no build step, and is released under the Apache 2.0 license.
