ENEOS Materials Adopts ChatGPT Enterprise for Manufacturing Processes

Japan's ENEOS Materials rolled out ChatGPT Enterprise company-wide to address labor shortages and rising raw material costs, safely protect corporate confidential information, and leverage AI.

As a result of the rollout, 80% of employees reported improved workflows, and data aggregation and analysis time in the HR department decreased by 90%. In particular, through the Deep Research feature, technical research tasks that used to take months were completed in just minutes.

Key use cases include the following:

• Bridging language and expertise gaps: Precisely researching foreign-language materials, such as local Hungarian documents, and translating them into Japanese to maximize the speed of technical research
• Using Custom GPTs: Creating over 1,000 custom GPTs to automate specialized tasks such as process design and checking material corrosion risks
• Streamlining engineering: Generating optimized design specifications in seconds by inputting data such as fluid type, flow rate, and pressure loss
