PwC to Build Technology, Execute Deals, and Redesign Enterprise Functions with Claude

Anthropic and PwC are broadening their strategic collaboration to build technology, execute deals, and redesign clients' enterprise functions on Claude. Both companies believe that existing systems and processes are tied to the pre-AI era, creating over $2 trillion in inefficiency.

PwC will first deploy Claude Code and Claude Cowork to its US teams, then expand to a global workforce of hundreds of thousands. The companies plan to establish a joint Center of Excellence and train and certify 30,000 PwC professionals on Claude.

The collaboration focuses on three areas.

• Agentic technology build: Launching production software in weeks across financial services, pharma/biotech, healthcare, and consumer sectors.
• AI-native deal-making: Reshaping the entire deal execution process, with agents supporting due diligence, value creation, and integration.
• Enterprise function reinvention: Transforming finance, supply chain, HR, and engineering into AI-native operating models.

PwC is also launching a new finance business group, the Office of the CFO, which will begin transformation with regulated industries such as banking, insurance, and healthcare. Internally, a Customer Zero approach has already validated journal entries, variance analysis, RFPs, and annual planning optimization, and Claude Cowork operates within spreadsheet, document, and presentation tools while connecting to enterprise data via MCP.

Production environments have already seen delivery time reductions of up to 70%. Insurance underwriting has been cut from 10 weeks to 10 days, and security tasks have gone from hours to minutes. Deployments are also underway in sports operations, mainframe modernization, HR transformation, and cybersecurity, with Advocate Health moving toward company-wide adoption across 167,000 people.
