At AI Summit, Korea Presents Blueprint for AI Future with NVIDIA and Partners

At the AI Summit in San Francisco, Korean President Lee Jae-myung and key business leaders met with NVIDIA and its partner companies to discuss the direction of Korea's AI development.

NVIDIA and KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) announced the establishment of a joint AI research lab at KAIST's Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI in Seoul. This is the first joint AI research lab between a Korean university and a global tech company, and will focus on agentic AI research. NVIDIA's full-stack AI technology, Nemotron open models, and AI cloud partner computing resources will be combined with KAIST's research capabilities.

On July 23, the day before the summit, CEO Jensen Huang had dinner with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and teams from SK hynix and SK Telecom in Woodside, California. NVIDIA and SK had already announced in June an expanded collaboration on jointly developing memory for AI infrastructure, personal AI, and physical AI platforms, and SK Telecom has also stated plans to build AI infrastructure in the physical AI and robotics fields.
