Claude Opus 5, Now Available on AI Gateway

Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 is now available on AI Gateway. This model shows significantly improved long-horizon agentic coding capabilities compared to previous models, enabling multi-file feature implementation, large-scale refactoring, end-to-end feature development, and completing full tasks without stubs.

Key features include:

• Efficient performance: Produces high-quality results with low token usage and latency even at low/medium effort settings.
• Enhanced Vision: Excels at charts, documents, diagrams, and UI replication, using tools to analyze and verify visual work.
• Multi-agent optimization: Effectively coordinates teams of sub-agents, making it well-suited for multi-agent workflows.

Through AI SDK 7, reasoning intensity can be configured via the reasoning option, and AI Gateway's model fallbacks feature can be used to designate backup models in case a task is blocked by the security classifier. It is also compatible with Zero Data Retention, and a fast mode is supported via the speed: 'fast' option.
