Grok comes to Google Workspace

xAI has released a dedicated add-on for Google Workspace, allowing users to use Grok directly within Sheets, Slides, and Docs. This add-on works across all three tools with a single installation.

The key features for each tool are as follows:

• Sheets: Answers questions based on spreadsheet data, writes and fills in formulas, inserts charts, and reruns scenarios. All changes can be reviewed and undone just like normal edits.
• Slides: Researches information from the web or X (formerly Twitter) based on an outline to create working presentations. It preserves existing themes while adding diagrams and images, and optimizes slide titles.
• Docs: Converts rough notes into structured drafts, generating headings and lists while maintaining grammar correction and style consistency. Enabling Connectors allows it to pull in information from Google Drive or recent emails.

Grok for Google Workspace is offered as a free add-on, and a version for Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is also available.
