KPMG Brings Claude into Core Business and 276,000 Employees Through Strategic Alliance

KPMG has formed a global strategic alliance with Anthropic to embed Claude across its core business. KPMG's 276,000+ employees, who provide audit, tax, legal, and advisory services across 138 countries and regions, will also use Claude.

The first deployment is on KPMG's flagship work platform, Digital Gateway. Built on Microsoft Azure, this platform brings together tools and data for tax and legal clients, and by attaching Claude Cowork and Managed Agents, the companies say work that previously took weeks moving between multiple tools and chat windows will be reduced to minutes.

The two companies will work together in the following areas:

• Developing new tools for tax and legal clients
• Detecting and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities
• Developing Claude-based products for private equity (PE) portfolio companies
• Connecting KPMG Blaze with Claude Code to help modernize legacy IT systems

Anthropic has designated KPMG as a preferred partner in the PE space, and KPMG will support portfolio companies in responsibly building products, processes, and services using Claude. Additionally, joint research by KPMG and UT Austin's McCombs School of Business points out that in human in the loop, human judgment, workflow design, and review of outcomes are central to AI's value.

KPMG emphasizes security, trust, and governance as standards for AI adoption, and customers can inquire about applying Digital Gateway through their account teams.
