Mistral AI Acquires Emmi AI

Mistral AI is acquiring Linz, Austria-based Emmi AI.

Emmi AI is a company that has been accelerating industrial simulation and engineering workflows with its Physics AI models. The applications presented include energy, automotive, semiconductors, aerospace.

With this acquisition, Mistral stated it will build an AI stack for industrial engineering and handle complex simulations and digital twins faster in manufacturing and R&D.

• Emmi AI's co-founders and a team of more than 30 researchers and engineers will join Mistral's Science and Applied AI teams.
• Mistral will expand its investment in Austria, Germany, and Lithuania, and add Linz as an official office.
• The company explained it will combine capabilities targeting physical problems such as power grid stabilization, injection molding, and automotive safety testing.
