Remove-AI-Watermarks – A CLI and library for removing AI watermarks from images

A CLI and library that can remove visible and invisible watermarks as well as AI metadata from images generated by major generative AI models such as Gemini, DALL-E 3, Stable Diffusion, and Midjourney.

Key features include:

• Visible watermark removal: Quickly removes Gemini's sparkle logo using reverse alpha blending.
• Invisible watermark removal: Removes watermarks hidden in the pixel or frequency domain, such as SynthID, StableSignature, and TreeRing, using diffusion-based regeneration technology.
• AI metadata and label removal: Deletes C2PA content credentials, EXIF/XMP "Made with AI" labels, PNG text chunks, and more, preventing AI labels from being attached on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and X.
• Analog Humanizer: Adds film grain and chromatic aberration to help bypass AI image classifiers.
• Smart face protection: Automatically extracts and blends faces to prevent facial distortion during the image regeneration process.

The tool supports batch processing, and dynamically locates watermark positions even when images have been resized or cropped, using a 3-stage detection algorithm based on NCC (Normalized Cross-Correlation).
