This Is How Humans 'Learn' AI! #1 - Let's Learn at OpenAI Academy

OpenAI Academy, a global AI learning platform opened by OpenAI last April, is drawing attention. The platform takes the form of a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), providing video manuals and hands-on guides for OpenAI services. In particular, related content was heavily uploaded in August when GPT-5 was updated, and currently all courses are offered for free.

Platform Structure and Learning Method

OpenAI Academy can be accessed by logging in with a ChatGPT account or via an email Magic Link, and videos can be watched even without logging in. The main menu consists of Home, Events, Content, Communities, and What's New. In the Content section, you can find key articles and VODs such as 'Introducing GPT-5', with subtitle support in 10 languages including Korean. In Communities, alongside Vimeo-based VODs, you can form interest-based groups to interact with fellow learners.

GPT-5 Use Cases and Developer Resources

The platform provides GPT-5 use cases and prompt examples by job function (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, etc.). You can download the 'Work Prompt Pack' or immediately practice via the 'Try it in ChatGPT' link. For developers, the OpenAI Cookbook and OpenAI Developers pages are linked. The Cookbook offers 243 recipes released under the MIT license, providing API usage code and guides. However, security and error handling require separate reinforcement, and some examples may not work due to API version changes.

Role-Based Guide Packs

Four tiers of guide packs are provided depending on the user's role.

• Work Users: Content for practitioners, including basic ChatGPT usage, voice usage, and image generation
• Admins: Content for administrators, including workspace configuration, security management, and onboarding process management
