Tool calls stop midway

In Gemma 4 26B a4b, a multi-step flow like think -> tool call -> think -> tool call doesn't continue reliably.

• Putting multiple tool calls within a single generation works fine
• But at the next step after thinking is mixed in, right after the model says "I will do X," generation suddenly terminates
• Same result with the latest chat template, and no difference between interleaved / old template
• The model used is a26b a4b q4_k_m

As additional detail, it's noted that think -> tool call -> think -> tool call -> response to the user does work, but if it then tries to continue with thinking -> tool call again afterward, it suddenly ends. In other words, this appears to be a case where the additional tool-call loop after the user response gets cut off.
