Meeting with Canadian Minister

Upstage met with François-Philippe Champagne, Canada's Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, who was visiting Korea, to explore cooperation between Korean and Canadian companies and opportunities to enter the global AI market. CEO Kim Sung-hoon attended the Korea-Canada Business Roundtable hosted by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) as the representative of a domestic AI company.

The event brought together 17 major domestic companies from key industries such as energy, bio, EV, aerospace, and AI, along with 6 Canadian companies and a government delegation to discuss strengthening strategic partnerships. Upstage was the only startup selected among the participating companies, once again highlighting the competitiveness of Korea's AI technology.

Upstage has presented papers at international AI conferences such as NeurIPS, AAAI, ACL, and EMNLP, and was the first Korean company to win double-digit Kaggle gold medals. It recently placed in the top ranking domestically at an AI recommendation competition hosted by ACM RecSys, and has announced plans to launch Upstage AI Pack, a no-code/low-code solution combining OCR, recommendation, and semantic search, by the end of the year.
