Upstage to Host NeurIPS Data Research Reveal Event

Upstage will hold the online live event 'Upstage Talks' at 8 PM on December 20, sharing the data paper submitted to the NeurIPS 2022 Human centered AI workshop and the latest data research. The topic is 'Who Makes Good Data, and How?'

Speakers include Cha Inha, Oh Juhyun, and Park Cheolyoung of Upstage, authors of the paper 'Human-centered Proposition for Structuring Data Construction.' The event will address core challenges in AI data work, including data labeling costs, the long working hours required to build datasets, and the issue of human bias being reflected in data.

Upstage notes that this paper is particularly significant as the first from Korea to address data work and be presented at a top-tier conference. Through this, Upstage will share methods for creating good data and practical experience, presenting directions for data design that lead to improved AI performance.
