NVIDIA Announces GeForce NOW DLSS 4.5 Cloud Controls and Steam Machine Support at Gamescom 2026

NVIDIA unveiled new features and expanded hardware support for GeForce NOW at Gamescom 2026. This update provides the ability to directly adjust graphics quality and performance in cloud gaming environments.

DLSS 4.5 Cloud Controls

DLSS 4.5 technology has been applied to cloud environments, allowing Ultimate membership subscribers to fine-tune games without being constrained by hardware performance. DLSS Super Resolution sharpens image quality, while Dynamic Frame Generation reduces latency and stuttering for smoother streaming. Additionally, Ray Reconstruction enhances ray-traced visuals.

Hardware and Platform Expansion

GeForce NOW will add support for the Steam Machine and Steam Controller in the fall, with plans to support Windows and macOS subsequently. Following existing Steam Deck support, this expands compatibility with the Steam ecosystem. GOG Single Sign-On has been introduced, allowing games to automatically sync and launch with a single click after account linking. Firefox browser support has also been formalized, enabling users to play games directly in the browser without installing a dedicated app; Ultimate members can play at up to 1440p, 120fps. Amazon Fire TV support is also expanding to the Fire TV Stick 4K Select.

New Games and Promotions

CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and STAR WARS Zero Company will be added to the cloud simultaneously with their releases. Purchasing a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership includes CONTROL Resonant for free, and community giveaway events will offer hardware and memberships as prizes.
