Anthropic Appoints Chris Ciauri as Managing Director of International, Expanding Global Leadership in Enterprise AI

Anthropic is strengthening its global leadership by appointing Chris Ciauri as Managing Director of International. Ciauri brings extensive experience expanding global business at companies including Google Cloud and Salesforce, and will lead Anthropic's expansion into markets worldwide.

Anthropic has recently posted explosive growth. Its annual run-rate revenue, which stood at $87 million in early 2024, surpassed $5 billion as of August 2025, and the company achieved a $183 billion valuation through a $13 billion Series F funding round.

Demand in global markets is also strong. About 80% of Claude users are located outside the United States, with per-capita usage in Korea, Australia, and Singapore surpassing that of the US. In response, Anthropic is building out its infrastructure by expanding offices across the EMEA region—including London, Dublin, and Zurich—as well as in Tokyo, Japan.

Enterprise customers have also surged more than 300-fold, growing from under 1,000 two years ago to over 300,000 today. Key use cases by industry include the following:

• European Parliament: Made 2.1 million historical documents accessible in multiple languages
• Novo Nordisk: Reduced clinical document drafting time from over 10 weeks to 10 minutes
