Anthropic Signs Pledge to Invest in AI Education for America's Youth

Anthropic joined the White House's 'Pledge to America's Youth: Investing in AI Education,' announcing three key commitments to help students grow into leaders of the AI era.

The main support measures are as follows:

• $1 million investment in cybersecurity education: Supporting Carnegie Mellon University's PicoCTF program to strengthen problem-solving skills for K-12 students.
• Support for the Presidential AI Challenge: Supporting a national challenge where students use AI to solve community problems.
• Development of AI literacy curriculum for teachers: Providing free, Creative Commons-licensed curriculum to help educators integrate AI into their classrooms.

Currently, major education platforms such as MagicSchool, Amira Learning, and Solvely.ai have adopted Claude to support millions of learners. In addition, Claude for Education has secured a user base of over 100,000, and Claude Builder Clubs will launch at more than 60 U.S. universities this fall.

Anthropic is analyzing data from over 1 million college student conversations and 74,000 educator conversations to inform product development. Research findings show that college students primarily use AI for content creation and analysis (70%), while educators mainly use it for curriculum development (57%) and creating customized tools using Claude Artifacts.
