Poland's EU Council Presidency Expands Multilingual Diplomacy

Poland's EU Council Presidency, which began on January 1, 2025, partnered with ElevenLabs over six months to make more than 20 ministerial meetings and press conferences held in Warsaw understandable to more citizens.

The core approach was AI-dubbing key announcements into English, French, and Polish and posting them on the official YouTube channel. Viewers could select their preferred audio track directly, marking the first large-scale application of AI-powered dubbing in official EU Presidency communications.

The dubbing was designed to preserve the original speaker's tone and pacing, and the translation results were reviewed and verified by humans at ElevenProductions. Given the legal and political sensitivities involved, a security and transparency framework was also applied, including GDPR-compliant consent, security review, restricted use of voice models, and clear AI-generated labeling.
