Anthropic Signs $517 Billion Computing Contracts Over 11 Months

It has been aggregated that Anthropic signed lease contracts worth approximately $517 billion to secure 14.8GW of computing capacity over the past 11 months (since October of last year). These figures were confirmed through public announcements and independent reporting by The Information; according to anonymous sources, 1GW to 2GW of capacity had already been secured prior to this period.

The major contract details are as follows:

• Google: A $200 billion TPU contract, with Broadcom participating in development and up to 35GW deployment possible
• Riot Platforms: A 20-year lease of a 191MW data center in Texas, valued at approximately $91 billion
• Fluidstack: A $50 billion partnership including sites in Texas and New York
• Nscale: A contract worth $45 billion
• Lambda: A $35 billion cloud contract
• Akamai: An $18 billion cloud contract
• AWS: A $5 billion investment linkage and 5GW AI capacity lease (including Project Rainier)
• AMD: A $5 billion investment linkage and 2GW Instinct MI450 GPU deployment

Additionally, according to SpaceX/xAI's IPO documents, Anthropic is expected to pay $125 billion per month in rent for xAI data centers. Google and AWS supply a combined 11GW, acting as the largest suppliers.

The projected spending for existing investors (server leases through 2029) was approximately $180 billion, but this analysis significantly raised the total. Anthropic filed for an IPO confidentially with the US SEC in June of this year, and the possibility of additional private contracts was also mentioned.
