AI21 Maestro is a platform designed to reduce the hallucination, missed instructions, and context loss problems that agents frequently experience. It emphasizes that, without complex R&D or trial and error, simply following the guided flow allows you to quickly build a production-ready level agent.

The first step is connecting the company's data, tools, and models. Maestro brings together structured and unstructured sources such as internal documents, APIs, web search, and external systems into a single interface, and supports parsing, indexing, and retrieval so that answers are grounded in the correct context.

In the second step, you set output rules, policies, and success criteria. For example, you can add requirements like "cite all sources," "follow internal policy XYZ," or "explain the reasoning process," and Maestro verifies the results and automatically corrects any parts that fall short of the criteria.

The third step is adjusting inference resources with the compute-budget slider. You can perform quick lookups at low cost, or carry out complex analysis at higher cost, and behind the scenes it explains that multiple inference paths are run in parallel to select the most accurate result within the cost and latency limits.

In the fourth step, once the user executes the task, Maestro analyzes the task and plans multi-step reasoning, then sequentially selects and executes models and tools. This process is called dynamic planning and orchestration, and a visual execution graph lets you check the data retrieval, answer evaluation, and conflict resolution process.

Finally, once execution is complete, a verification report detailing how each requirement was met and a performance score are provided. Through continuous verification and error correction, accuracy is maintained even in multi-step reasoning, and the results remain explainable and auditable.
