Meta Developing Dedicated Mail Tab for AI Agent Muse

It has been confirmed that Meta is developing an interface to add a dedicated Mail tab to its AI agent Muse. This tab links to a separate page upon clicking and is likely to provide agent-specific mailbox functionality.

The exact behavior of this feature is not yet clear, but two interpretations are possible:

• Independent Communication: Muse receives its own email address and handles communications independently
• Personal Account Aggregation: Reading or sending emails from personal accounts granted permission by the user (sending functionality requires separate approval)

This feature is expected to synergize with Meta's upcoming Shared Agents. When setting up business agents and sharing reusable templates, the dedicated mailbox can serve as a business communication channel and provide conversation history visibility to owners.

Muse recently reached #1 on the US App Store, and a standalone macOS app has also been released. However, the confirmed launch date for the dedicated Mail tab and whether it operates independently from existing personal inboxes remain unclear.
