xAI Launches Team Bots: Shared AI Coworkers for Enterprise Workflows

xAI has launched Team Bots, a feature that allows teams to share Grok Bots configured with specific files, applications, and expertise. These bots act as AI coworkers that learn from team interactions while maintaining individual privacy for each user's conversations.

Core Capabilities

Each Team Bot integrates four key components to function effectively:

• Context: Access to relevant files, instructions, and skills, such as brand guides and internal documentation.
• Plugins: Connections to applications like Salesforce, Notion, and GitHub, configurable per person or for the whole team.
• Credentials: Secure access to third-party APIs that lack native plugins.
• Memories: Persistent learning capabilities that improve the bot's performance over time.

Although the bot is shared, each user retains private context and memories, while drawing on skills shared across the team. Team Bots also integrate with Slack, allowing users to invite the bot to channels for collaborative questioning and context contribution.

xAI demonstrates Team Bots across several internal workflows:

• Sales and Customer Success: Bots review company news, Gong calls, and Notion docs nightly to post morning briefings in Slack. One example, Harper, built a bot in 24 hours to automate policy reinstatements, saving customers over $120,000.
