Apple Releases Creator Studio Update… Including Cinematic Mode Support for iPhone 18 Pro

Apple has released a new update for Apple Creator Studio, enhancing features across its creative and productivity apps. This update focuses on improving various creative workflows, including video editing, design, and document creation.

Enhanced Video Editing and Design Features

Final Cut Pro and Motion offer new ways to apply Cinematic Mode effects to videos shot on the iPhone 18 Pro. Editors can directly adjust focus and depth of field on the timeline, and use Compressor to convert to previous Cinematic Mode formats or utilize HEVC and MPEG-4 presets for social sharing.

Pixelmator Pro adds a new collection of templates for Mac and iPad, including covers for sports, business, and podcasts. Notably, the iPad version now includes Mac's selection and masking features, providing controls to precisely refine complex edges such as hair or fur.

Improved Productivity Apps and Collaboration Features

Keynote, Pages, and Numbers offer professional design templates and themes. Keynote's intelligent slide creation feature automatically generates images suitable for presentations. Additionally, users can request access permissions for shared documents or presentations, facilitating smoother collaboration. Numbers has added new mathematical functions, including trigonometric, statistical, and logical functions.

Freeform supports automatic dark mode application, board organization via folders, and collaborator invitations. Users can rewrite or summarize handwritten notes using Apple Intelligence's writing tools. In visionOS 27, immersive work environments are enhanced by allowing users to group 3D models and place them in space.
