Kakao Conducts 2023 Blind Recruitment for New Developers

Kakao is conducting its 2023 blind recruitment for new developers. To prioritize the evaluation of technical skills, this recruitment maintains the blind format used since 2017 and simplifies the application process, allowing candidates to apply in just 30 seconds using only their name, email, phone number, and desired field.

The recruitment process consists of two coding tests. Candidates who pass the first round are invited to the second round, where they can take the test on the Programmers platform using their preferred language among C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, and Swift. Eligibility ranges from new hires with basic programming skills to those with less than 3 years of technical experience, with no restrictions on education or major. Past rejection records do not affect applications.

Kakao emphasizes its developer culture and environment. Employees can freely choose their work location for 4 days a week, with a recommendation to work from the office 1 day a week, and the company provides an immersive environment through initiatives like the biweekly "Play Friday" system. Additionally, it promotes horizontal communication using English names regardless of job title and a sharing culture based on the "100:0 principle" (100% internal sharing, 0% external disclosure).
