Kakao to Hold 'if kakao 2021' Online with 9 Affiliates and 80 Tech Sessions

Kakao will host its developer conference 'if kakao 2021' online for three days from November 16 to 18. Under the slogan 'A Better World Moving Forward Together with Technology and Innovation,' the event will share the development achievements and technical visions of 9 affiliates, including Kakao.

Developer Keynotes and Major Presentations

This year features 7 developer keynotes, the largest number since 2019. The major presentations include:

• Kakao Enterprise: Research and Service Experience from AI Lab
• Kakao Mobility: Big Data, Machine Learning, and Data Hub Strategy Based on Mobility Data
• Kakao Pay: Data-Driven Decision Making, Platform Stability, and New Credit Scoring Models
• Kakao Bank: Financial Innovation Under the Motto 'Let's Engineer Banking'
• Kakao Brain: The Warm Friend Role of AI Services and Unthinkable Impact
• Ground X: Digital Asset Leadership Centered on NFTs and the Creator Economy via GX2.0

Tech Sessions and Programs

A total of 80 tech sessions will be presented on diverse topics such as backend, AI/ML, cloud, blockchain, and mobile. Reflecting last year's feedback, a tech session preview has been introduced for the first time this year, available for review on the conference site opening on November 2.

Additionally, special programs for engagement include the 'if (better world) code game', where participants solve coding problems daily; the 'Kakao Agile Consultation' held on Kakao's social audio platform 'Ummm'; and the distribution of limited Ryan and Choonsik emoticons to pre-registered participants.
