Kakao Opens Replay of if(kakao)2020 Tech Sessions… 78 Sessions Released

Kakao has opened a page to replay the tech sessions from the if(kakao)2020 conference, which was held online last November. This event, marking the 10th anniversary of KakaoTalk, included business and partner sessions, and the move to an online format removed spatial constraints, leading to a substantial increase in the number of tech sessions.

Session Scale and Structure

This year, a total of 78 tech sessions were released, along with 5 separate growth tracks for junior developers. This represents a significant increase compared to 50 sessions last year and 25 sessions two years ago. Kakao has enhanced category-based filtering features to help developers easily find their desired tracks.

The sessions begin with a Kakao CTO interview and are organized into the following key tracks:

• Backend: Service development behind-the-scenes, testing, blockchain, data processing, infrastructure
• Data: Database IDC migration, analytics and algorithms, monitoring, service application cases
• Machine Learning/AI: Recommendation systems, advanced personalized push notifications, anomaly detection models, pose recognition API
• Cloud: Kubernetes utilization techniques, enterprise K8S adoption guide
• Infrastructure/DevOps: Utilization of open source such as MongoDB and related technologies
• Blockchain: Ground X's Klaytn, Cave, and Klip integration BApp development guide
• Mobile: App development technologies and testing methodologies for KakaoTalk, Map, T, Bank, Page, etc.
• Web/Frontend: Debugging kit, common data model design, UI testing
