8Percent Platform Development Internship Review - Final

In the remaining period, I continued working on the event carousel and banner staff page that carried over from the previous internship post. I built an API that saves related information to the DB when carousels and banners are saved on the admin page, and also implemented an API that automatically displays them on the homepage based on the saved data. However, it remains a regret that I couldn't finish it 100%, leaving some handover work behind.

At first, 9 weeks seemed hard to endure, but looking back, it flew by surprisingly fast. The time I spent at 8Percent was enjoyable, and I felt this experience would stay with me for a long time.

When I started the internship, I was burned out on development from school exams and assignments, and since I had barely studied beforehand, the early tasks weren't easy. But as I kept asking questions and studying while finishing tasks one by one, I gradually gained a sense that I could do it. In particular, after building the AlimTalk mass-sending admin page myself and seeing the marketing team actually use it, I felt a great sense of fulfillment from development.

That experience led me to think more deeply about how to implement features, and I found myself studying unfamiliar topics again even during my commute. During the internship, I learned Django, Vue, and the development process, but what I gained the most was my rediscovered interest in development.

Relationships with people were also a great gift. Even while busy, the platform development team members kindly answered my questions and carefully reviewed my code every time. Including the time we spent eating together and chatting, I grew quite attached to them, and with remote work being common, it even felt lonely when the office was empty.

Lastly, working from home for the first time let me experience the comfort of spending time at home. I also prepared chocolates and candies with my fellow intern to celebrate Valentine's Day and express our thanks, leaving a small moment of joy in the office. In the end, this internship concluded with a sense of accomplishment at work, gratitude toward the people, and a renewed desire to keep developing.
