A Look at Kakao Pay's Preparation Process for the if(kakao) Presentation

For Kakao's annual developer conference if(kakao), the Kakao Pay Tech Strategy Team revealed the systematic preparation process it carried out. This covers the entire process, from recruiting speakers to writing materials, rehearsals, and design revisions.

In the presentation material writing stage, a strict checklist—covering content clarity, terminology consistency, security, and source verification—was used to maintain the completeness and uniformity of the materials.

Rehearsals were conducted in stages across a total of three rounds.

• 1st Rehearsal: Reviewed the flow of the script and the usefulness of the content together with team members and the team lead.
• 2nd Rehearsal: Brought in an external speech coach for 1:1 customized coaching to improve presentation skills.
• 3rd Rehearsal: The CTO and organization heads participated to check the final level of completeness.

Design revisions were carried out in collaboration with the Brand Design Team. Considering the ongoing revisions to the presentation materials, the work of enhancing design visibility and consistency was performed in stages aligned with the rehearsal stages.
