Banksalad Reveals Hiring Process for 10 Job Roles — From Live Coding to Culture Interviews

Banksalad has disclosed the hiring process for 10 job roles across tech, data, design, and business management, presenting a guide to improve the applicant experience. The company is expanding from financial asset management into a lifestyle platform covering areas such as genetic testing, and is hiring for numerous positions.

How Each Interview Type Proceeds

The first-round interview method differs by job role. iOS/Android Engineer, Data Engineer, and Server Engineer roles conduct a live coding test (about 1 hour) using Google Meet or CoderPad. Roles such as Data Scientist, Web Front-end Engineer, and QA Engineer complete a take-home assignment that is then reviewed by the working team. The remaining roles, including marketing, design, and business management, verify job competency and core values through a phone interview with a recruiter or a team member.

Culture Interviews and Core Value Assessment

In-person interviews are currently replaced by Google Meet and consist of a working-team interview and a culture interview. The document screening can be written in a free format, but stating customer-centered impact and specific figures (%) is advantageous for building credibility. Submitting additional materials such as a portfolio or GitHub link is also recommended. After passing the in-person interview, final joining is confirmed following a reference check and casual meeting as needed.
