Perplexity Expands Enterprise AI Workflows

Perplexity has expanded its enterprise AI workflows based on Computer for Enterprise, unveiled last month. The newly added axes are direct Microsoft Teams direct message and channel integration, an Excel native side panel beta, and task-specific Workflows.

In Teams, Computer can be invoked directly during a conversation, and according to Microsoft, Teams has more than 350 million monthly active users worldwide. Workflows bundles prompts, context, and output formats to standardize repetitive tasks, and the library currently has more than 70 entries.

Data access and security have also been strengthened. New Snowflake and Databricks connectors allow internal data to be queried and executed without copying it between systems, and a partnership with 1Password ensures credentials never touch agents or models directly.

In the financial domain, Computer for Professional Finance has launched.

• It draws on licensed sources such as Morningstar, PitchBook, Daloopa, and Carbon Arc.
• It generates tearsheets, annotated stock price charts, and equity research comparisons, linking every figure to its source.
• It also works inside Excel, providing assistance right alongside the models analysts use.

Lastly, Personal Computer emphasizes multi-model orchestration across local files, apps, and the web. It can run 24/7 on a Mac mini, and the feature is currently rolling out to enterprise customers, with Excel still in beta.
