Self-Evolving AI Agent Phantom Unveiled

Phantom aims to be an AI colleague equipped with a dedicated virtual machine (VM) to overcome the one-off session limitations of existing AI agents. In its own isolated workspace, the agent can manage infrastructure on its own—installing software, building databases, and creating dashboards.

Key Features and Capabilities:

• Autonomous infrastructure building: It directly installs ClickHouse for data analysis, or builds and connects missing communication channels (e.g., Discord) on its own.
• Self-evolution pipeline: After every session ends, it goes through six stages—Observe, Critique, Generate, Validate, Apply, and Consolidate—to optimize itself for the user's environment.
• Safe validation system: To prevent self-reinforcement bias, it adopts a cross-model judge approach that uses a different model from the main model as judge, and secures stability through a minority veto.
• Tech stack: Built on the Claude Agent SDK, it uses the Bun runtime, Qdrant (vector DB), and SQLite to manage state.
