India's education app Supernova provides high-quality speaking practice opportunities for learners aiming to improve their English conversation skills. Recognizing that most Indian learners process information through their native language, the company adopted ElevenLabs' Text to Speech (TTS) technology to design an AI tutor that delivers explanations, corrections, and encouragement in various regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Supernova reviewed several engines including OpenAI and Amazon Polly, but determined that ElevenLabs was best suited for implementing the natural intonation and emotional expression unique to Indian regional languages. This allowed learners to receive clearer and more natural guidance, which led to improved comprehension and engagement among learners.

On the technical side, the company implemented near-real-time, low-latency guidance through Streaming TTS using ElevenLabs Flash V2.5. Key performance metrics are as follows:

• Achieved approximately 82% pronunciation accuracy across supported languages
• Realized a fast response speed of about 250ms to first audio output
• Improved learners' daily usage consistency and retention

In addition, Supernova is also leveraging ElevenLabs' voices for AI-generated calls for customer guidance and sales through third-party platforms such as Ring and Bolna, enhancing user comprehension.
