ElevenLabs' Impact Program is expanding beyond support for neurodegenerative diseases to support for laryngeal cancer patients. Laryngectomy for the treatment of laryngeal cancer is a life-saving procedure, but it also permanently deprives patients of their natural voice.

Existing methods such as electrolarynx devices or esophageal speech have limitations in conveying a person's individuality and emotions, which can lead to psychological withdrawal and depression in patients.

ElevenLabs has partnered with Lary's Speakeasy, the world's largest laryngectomy support network, to provide voice cloning technology free of charge to members of the community.

Through this, patients can recreate their pre-surgery voice or create a new voice that reflects their own identity, reclaiming their right to communicate.
