Maestro AI, a System for Enterprise Knowledge Work

AI21 has released Maestro to enterprise customers. Maestro is an agentic AI system designed to understand enterprise context and reliably automate data-intensive tasks such as financial analysis, RFP responses, and regulatory compliance review.

Existing agents become unstable when the LLM makes arbitrary decisions at runtime, or lack flexibility when the entire workflow must be hardcoded. AI21 explains that Maestro provides structured planning, real-time adaptation, and self-verification between these two extremes.

Key features include the following.

• Selects and combines file search, web search, and LLMs at each task step.
• Creates and revises dynamic plans according to cost and latency constraints.
• Makes the execution process transparent with a visual execution graph and confidence scores.
• Pre-optimizes accuracy, speed, and resource efficiency through offline simulations.

Application examples include tracking regulatory changes and automating customer insight reports. Compliance teams can feed in new regulations, past filings, and internal policy documents together to generate summaries of changes and their impact, while GTM teams can combine CRM notes, support tickets, and feedback forms—without dashboards or tagging rules—to organize regional customer complaints and product gaps.
