Salesforce Unveils Proprietary AI Model 'Koa' Based on Nvidia Models for Enterprise Workflows

Salesforce announced its proprietary domain-specific reasoning model 'Koa' at Dreamforce 2026. Koa was post-trained on Nvidia's open model Nemotron 3 Super using synthetic data based on approximately 30 years of business knowledge, and is designed to perform complex business tasks while protecting data privacy. Rohan Kumar, CPEO, stated that Koa supports long-running agents that execute multiple tasks. In initial benchmark results, Koa demonstrated strong performance on CRM-related tasks. CEO Marc Benioff positioned AI as a tool for empowering enterprises rather than replacing SaaS, presenting the perspective that AI automates repetitive tasks and redefines human roles. Salesforce is adopting a strategy of post-training open models to reduce customization time, rather than becoming a frontier lab.
