ElevenLabs Launches Free Student Plan With Three Months of Access

ElevenLabs has launched ElevenLabs for Students, a new plan providing university students aged 18 and above with free access to its professional-grade audio and AI tools. The initiative aims to remove barriers to entry for students developing skills in film, podcasting, research, and application building.

The plan includes 3 months of free access to ElevenCreative, ElevenAgents, and the ElevenAPI, along with a free year of ElevenReader Ultra, the company's advanced text-to-speech reader. This offering is currently available to students in the US, Canada, EU27, Australia, and UK, with additional countries expected to follow.

Student Use Cases and Impact

Students are already leveraging these tools for diverse projects, ranging from healthcare referral systems to real-time aviation safety monitors. For example, a team from the University of Pennsylvania built a healthcare referrals switchboard, while students at a Warsaw hackathon created a cockpit agent to flag dangerous radio communications. Other projects include voice agents that detect misinformation on social media and AI study partners that allow users to discuss textbook content.

Beyond creative and technical applications, voice AI supports accessibility for students with dyslexia, vision impairments, and other learning differences by reducing reliance on reading and writing. The Impact Program x Professors initiative has already extended free access to over 1,500 students through a community of more than 350 professors across nearly 50 countries.
