Smarter work with ChatGPT's Company knowledge

OpenAI has launched the Company knowledge feature for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu users, integrating context from internal enterprise tools. This feature leverages information from connected apps such as Slack, SharePoint, Google Drive, and GitHub to provide business-specific answers.

A model based on GPT-5 cross-analyzes multiple sources to generate comprehensive and accurate answers, and every response includes a citation feature that lets users verify the source of information, increasing the reliability of results.

Key features and characteristics are as follows:

• Complex context analysis: Even when there are conflicting details, it performs multiple searches to answer ambiguous questions, and it can also summarize situations where there are differing opinions within a team.
• Time-based information retrieval: Using date filters, it accurately finds data from a specific point in time (e.g., Q1 results) and prioritizes the most recent information.
• Work automation: It can perform tasks such as generating briefing materials for a client meeting by synthesizing Slack messages, emails, and meeting notes from Google Docs.

For security and privacy, OpenAI does not use user data for training by default. In addition, it fully respects existing enterprise access permissions, and enterprise administrators can exercise strong control over data access and security through SSO, SCIM, IP allowlists, and more.
