Singapore's global news network CNA has been experimenting with AI since 2019, defining it not merely as a supporting tool but as the newsroom's foundational backbone. They are wary of reckless adoption and maintain journalistic trust through strict AI guidelines and Human-in-the-loop processes.

• Election coverage: Using ChatGPT as reporters' 'second brain' to provide context, they found manipulated social media campaigns and connections between suspicious accounts in real time.
• Parliament AI: To process the lengthy content of parliamentary sessions, it provides facial recognition for over 90 members, speech transcription, and searchable summaries, boosting work efficiency.

Currently, more than 20 custom GPTs are operating in the newsroom, including 'Newsroom Buddy', which helps with idea brainstorming and style guide checks. CNA emphasizes that organizational culture change and public adoption are as important as technical implementation for the success of AI adoption.
