How Kakao Pay's Tech Blog Reached an Average of 10,000 Monthly Visitors

Kakao Pay's tech blog (Tech Log) is operated to promote technical competitiveness, attract top talent, and build pride among team members. It aims to publish 3 or more pieces of content per month on average, and technical content currently accounts for 72% of the total.

Content operations follow a systematic process, from recruiting contributors, through GitHub PR-based review, to post-publication data analysis via Google Analytics (GA). In particular, the review stage applies a strict checklist based on content structure, technical accuracy, and the target readers' level of understanding.

In 2023, the following strategies were implemented to improve content quality and strengthen promotion.

• Refining the review stages: A 3-stage review process—draft, interim, and final—was introduced, and additional reviewers from technical roles were assigned to add technical depth.
• Diversifying promotion channels: This included sharing content by category via LinkedIn, linking related content to job postings, and leveraging offline conferences.

As a result of these efforts, the share of new users has risen from 79% to as high as 92% recently, recording continued growth.
