Lumiere Ventures and ElevenLabs Collaborate on Sylvester Stallone's New Film

ElevenLabs is partnering with Lumiere Ventures to apply AI voice technology to Sylvester Stallone's new action thriller Armored. At the heart of this project is the AI recreation of the voice of the iconic French voice actor Alain Dorval, who passed away this past February.

For about 50 years, Dorval brought Stallone's characters, including Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, to French audiences. Instead of using a different voice actor for dubbing, Lumiere Ventures requested collaboration with ElevenLabs to preserve Dorval's voice and maintain the emotional connection with audiences.

This work is being carried out under the following principles:

• Working with Dorval's family to convert recorded data and recreate the voice.
• The family retains final decision-making authority over whether the AI dubbing is used and its quality.
• If the quality standards are not met, the film will be released using traditional dubbing methods instead.

This marks the first instance of ElevenLabs' technology being applied to a major film. Through this collaboration, ElevenLabs aims to demonstrate how AI can be used as a tool that supports storytelling while respecting tradition, rather than replacing human creativity.
