Salesforce and Anthropic Expand Partnership

Salesforce and Anthropic are expanding their partnership to introduce Claude as the preferred model for the Agentforce platform. This collaboration focuses on enabling customers in regulated industries where data security is essential—such as finance, healthcare, cybersecurity, and life sciences—to use trusted AI.

Key aspects of the collaboration include:

• Providing Claude within Agentforce via Amazon Bedrock: Claude is fully integrated within Salesforce's Trust Boundary, with all traffic securely processed within the Salesforce virtual private cloud (VPC).
• Building industry-specific AI solutions: Starting with financial services, Claude for Financial Services and Agentforce Financial Services will be combined to develop AI agents specialized in financial products, insurance claims, and more.
• Deepening the integration of Claude and Slack: Through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, Claude will analyze and summarize Slack channels, messages, and files, providing insights linked with Salesforce CRM data.

In addition, Salesforce is deploying Claude Code across its global engineering organization to improve developer workflows, while Anthropic actively uses Slack for its own work, further strengthening the technical collaboration between the two companies.
